Software Customization and Consulting

Kinetic Solutions provided custom application design and specifications for an automated vehicle tracking (AVT) system, introduced at the 1996 Olympics. The contribution of Kinetic Solutions integrated GIS as a major component of this multimedia project. The system includes itinerary planning so customers can obtain public transportation information from kiosks or by telephone. It also tracks public modes of transportation in real time.

GDS Conversion Project

Kinetic Solutions is currently under contract with the Regional Transit Partners do GDS Conversion for the organization.  Kinetic Solutions will conduct a prototype exercise involving the customization of migration tools to handle unique elements of the existing data formats.  Projects will then be migrated from GDS into the AutoCAD environment. 

The project included migration of twelve types of maps including both land and hydrographic information.  The mapped area covered the entire facility at an extremely high level of detail, including roadways, telephone networks, and even individual lane markings of roadways.
