Port of Long Beach, CA

The Port of Long Beach is the busiest container port in the United States, and the sixth busiest in the world, transferring more than four million container units per year. Kinetic Solutions provided data migration services for their GIS database into MicroStation GeoGraphics.

The project included migration of twelve types of maps including both land and hydrographic information. The mapped area covered the entire facility at an extremely high level of detail, including roadways, telephone networks, and even individual lane markings of roadways.
